MUSIC BUSINESS FACULTY
DR. FREDERICK TAYLOR is an Associate Professor in the School of Music at Georgia State University. He has held several administrative positions at state universities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Dr. Taylor is engaged in research on the Gullah-Geechee cultural traditions in the GA-SC sea islands, black music and musicians, as well as other aspects of African derived music. Dr. Taylor's courses are: the History of African American Music; Rhythm & Blues, Rock and Rap and Marketing in the Music Industry. Dr. Taylor's research focus is directed in the areas of assessment of programs and curricula, and the establishment of criteria for the evaluation of two and four-year college and university academic programs. He has prepared numerous reports, some of them including: Assessing Music Industry Programs, Evaluative Standards in Music Industry Programs and the Economic Impact of the Music Industry in Georgia. Some of his articles that have been published include: "Atlanta the Music City of Dreams,” which was published by The Music Entertainment Industry Educators Association, and "A Comparison of Five American Music Industry Centers of Commerce," published by The Southern Business and Economic Journal. Dr. Taylor is also the co-author of the marketing textbook Marketing in the Music Industry and recently submitted manuscripts for a second textbook titled Entrepreneurship in the Music Industry.
ROD GLAUBMAN is a veteran concert, festival and corporate event producer with specialized skills in organization and business development, event development, budgeting and finance, strategic planning, promotion, and technical production. Known for his strong reputation and ability to execute extremely difficult production scenarios, hiscreative and professional services have been provided toindividual artists and groups, such as Billy Idol, Aerosmith and Air Supply, commercial and non commercial clients as a producer, consultant, technical producer, road manager and artist manager.
DR. MONICA E. EWING is a multi-media attorney in Atlanta, Ga. Professor Ewing is a 1989 graduate of Emory University School of Law and she has maintained a private law practice since 1992. She specializes in contract review, drafting, negotiating and dispute resolution. Her clients include: professional recording artists, musicians, writers, producers and various entertainment-focused businesses. Professor Ewing's collective clients have sold in excess of 120 million records, garnering multiple Grammy's, American Music Awards and Video Music Awards.Since 1996, Professor Ewing has been an adjunct faculty member at Georgia State University's College of Law, and she has taught in the School of Music since 2000. Her courses include: Artist Representation, Legal Aspects of the Music Business and Entrepreneurship. Professor Ewing is also a magistrate judge in Fulton County, Ga. and has served in that capacity since 1996. Professor Ewing is a frequent lecturer at National and International conferences, and has been called upon by major publications, such as People Magazine and Newsweek for comments associated with the entertainment industry.
DR. MARCUS THOMAS is an entertainment attorney who serves as manager and producer for the independent artist Inobe. His independent label, Modest Music, has produced two recordings for the artist Inobe that have sold in excess of 5,000 copies worldwide. He has booked over 120 performances for Inobe across four continents including North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Most recently, Professor Thomas headed the Business and Legal Affairs Department for Alfred Publishing, the nation’s largest educational music print publisher with a catalog of over 40,000 titles, including the entire former Warner Bros. Publications repertoire. From August 2000 to May 2005 he served as professor and coordinator of the Music Management Program at Georgia State University where he taught Entertainment Law, Copyright, Music Publishing and Communication Law. Professor Thomas also previously served as Publishing Administrator for Dallas Austin Recording Projects, as manager in the Business and Legal Affairs Department of LaFace Records, as on-air talent for WNGC 98.5 FM and as Assistant Recording Engineer at Doppler Studios, Atlanta, GA. Professor Thomas was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in June 1999. He holds a Law Degree from Georgia State University, a Master’s of Mass Communication from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Public Relations) from Georgia State University.
DR. PHILLIP TERRELL is Director of Music Industry Studies at Alabama State University. His industry experience includes: serving as a recording studio owner/manager and engineer, talent agent, music store assistant manager, touring & session guitarist and national sales representative for an audio console manufacturer. Dr. Terrell has taught Music Business and Recording Technology at Georgia State University, Northeastern University and Albany State University. Dr. Terrell has a Bachelor's of Music from Mercer University Atlanta, a Master's Degree of Music from Georgia State University, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Georgia State University. Dr. Terrell’s research interests are: music industry economic impact studies, artificial intelligence applications in digital audio workstations and jazz guitar history & techniques. His professional memberships include: the National Association for the Study and Performance of African American Music Board of Directors, National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, National Association of Music Merchants and Music, and Entertainment Industry Educators Association.
DR. J. MARTIN LETT is the Managing Partner of Register Lett LLP in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been practicing Entertainment and Corporate Law for 10 years and he formerly co-founded and operated a concert promotions company. Mr. Lett's clients include: producers, songwriters, recording artists, independent record labels and publishing companies, and entrepreneurs in various business areas. He currently serves as the Vice-Chair of Entertainment for the Entertainment and Sports Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. He holds two degrees, one from the University of Georgia School of Law and the other from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business.
He resides in Atlanta with his wife Katina and sons, Jason and Justin.
DITO GODWIN is a multi-platinum, award-winning record producer who has sold over ten million records. As a former General Manager and Head of A&R for TNT Records, he has worked with superstars and aspiring artists. His stints with Mötley Crüe, Peter Criss, Ace Frehley and No Doubt are legendary; but he has worked with just as many emerging artists to help them reach their goals as well. In fact, although his discography is filled with major acts, an Interscope Records executive reports, "When it comes to a debut recording, no one can match Dito." Dito has thrived in the music industry for over twenty years and has enjoyed a variety of successes. His endurance in a business that has been undergoing cataclysmic changes is a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and vision for the future. Putting his beliefs into action, Dito, along with Bernard Baur (an award-winning journalist and former A&R executive), formed BGO Entertainment Network, a Development and Production company that offers unique services in the Music Industry. BGO has worked with major labels, indie labels, management, production companies and independent artists. The company’s primary mission is one word: "Empowerment." Dito has contributed his experience and knowledge to many music community activities, such as Conferences, Seminars and Workshops. He has taught classes at the University of Sound Arts, and Southern Oregon University. He is currently a voting member of the National Academy of the Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS).
ALI ADAWIYA is President and Partner of the royalty auditing firm Audit Time, LLC, with offices in Los Angeles and Orange County California. He was a Royalty Accountant with Capitol Records (1969-1976), Royalty Manager of 20th Century Fox Records/Music (1976-1980), Royalty Director with MCA Records (1980-1987), Auditor and Music Administrator for Goldman, Grant & Tani (1991-1998) and Auditor with Haber Corporation (1991-1998). He has audited record and publishing companies for songwriters, artists and producers, such as Joe Cocker, Paul Anka, Dennis Lambert, Jim Weatherly, Sting, Johnny Cash, Rickie Lee Jones, Pat Benatar, Alice Cooper, Nat King Cole, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Mark Spiro, Dave Mason, Larry Weiss, Bob McDill, Steve Cropper, Don Cook, Glen Campbell, Bill Withers, James Stroud, Merle Haggard, Lionel Ritchie, Steve Miller, Chuck Fries, Rodney Dangerfield, Paris Hilton, Ciara, Holland Dozier Holland, and many others. He also has prepared royalty accountings for Glen Campbell, Helen Ready, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Steve Miller, The Beatles, and many more. He holds degrees from Los Angeles City College (AA Liberal Arts) and California State University Northridge (BA Business Administration).
JOHN MASSA is President of Music & Media International, Inc. (“MMI”), and partner in the royalty auditing firm Audit Time, LLC, with offices in Los Angeles and Orange County California. He was a copyright/licensing manager with Arista Music/BMG Music Publishing (1985-1988) and Vice-President of All Nations Music Publishing (1989-1997). At MMI, he is responsible for licensing, financial, catalog acquisitions, copyright matters, royalty accounting, financial reporting, contract and license negotiations, royalty receivable and payables. He has represented songwriters and publishing catalog owners, such as Mike Chapman, Exile, Bob Merrill, Eddie Rabbitt, Even Stevens, Chris LeDoux, Sonny Lester, Edward & Brian Holland, Merle Haggard, Ashford & Simpson, Danny Elfman, Carman, Finchley/Rak Publishing, The Kingsmen, Henry Mancini, Hoagy Carmichael Estate, Roadshow Music Corporation, Richard Adler, and many others. He received his Bachelor of Music Degree in 1986 from the University Of The Pacific, Conservatory Of Music (Music Performance and Music Business).
DR. RICH MEITIN is a multi-award winning composer, arranger, producer and digital engineer who has been in the industry full-time since 1986. He has both owned and managed two different music and sound production companies in New York City. His specialty is creating original music and sound design in the studio for national TV, film, and advertising clients. He has also closely supervised the work of well over 200 accomplished composers, and produced tracks regularly with the top NY studio musicians and singers. He has created work with celebrity talent ranging from Billy Joel to the London Symphony and Chorus. Rich is also highly experienced in radio production, including casting and directing talent, narrative construction, and mixing. He has been a creative audio consultant for major corporations, symposia, and universities. He has degrees in music (B.M.) and law (J.D.) from the University of Miami.
PAUL CARLSEN started out doing radio voice work on radio spots for KGO radio, where his father worked. At that time, one track magnetic tape was “state of the art.” He was immediately hooked on recording. Paul got invited to Capitol Records, Studio 2 in 1968 to observe a Steve Miller session with the great Glynn Johns producing. There and then Paul realized that music would be his career.He got his chance to produce in 1973, at Elliot Maser’s “His Masters Wheels” studio, in San Francisco and later in Doug Sax Producers Workshop Studios. In the 80’s he worked with Nightranger, Greg Allman, Greg Kihn, Genghis Blues and many other Bay Area artists. In 1989, Paul moved to Los Angeles to work on the development team of the ADAPII, arguably the first professional workstation on a personal computer. Paul’s innovative work with workstations led to producer Butch Vig hiring him on Nirvanas’ Nevermind. These sessions may have been the first to use a laptop based DAW, in recording history...(the ADAPII Stacy)
Paul has supervised, edited and mixed over 70 films. He has produced, recorded, mixed and mastered over 200 records. He also has mixed major ad campaigns and multimedia products. Paul continues to beta-test audio products and to innovate in the studio. Award winning projects Paul has worked on include: Platinum and Diamond record; Grammy Award Winning Nevermind/Nirvana, The Missing Years/John Prine, which received an Oscar Nomination and a Sundance Audience Favorite Award; Genghis’ Blues/Genghis’ Blues, which received a Bay Area Critic Circle Outstanding Achievement Award; Sound Design, Right Mind: A.C.T./George Coats Performance.
PRIYA JAYARAM graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelors of Science in Music Industry. While the creative aspects of the industry brought her to Los Angeles from Houston, it is her passion for music business that kept her there. On the creative side, she has worked with vocal instructor Marta Woodhall (who's roster includes Brian McKnight, Paula Abdul and the Offspring) and jazz pianist Rob Mullins.
In 2004, she worked for the famed Cello Studios in Los Angeles, home of many hits of artists, such as Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, and Nat King Cole. During her stay at Cello, she assisted throughout the studio with producers Don Was (Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones) and Jon Brion (Fiona Apple, Kanye West).
On the business side, she has worked in both the Film/TV and Copyright departments at Chrysalis Music Group, and assisted with the Annual Film Scoring Workshop and the Rhythm & Soul Awards at ASCAP. She also handled mechanical licensing issues at Bug Music, the largest independent publishing administrator. Later, she worked at Warner/Chappell Music Inc., ensuring high-profile releases were licensed properly.
Priya is a pop/rock/R&B songwriter who writes for her own publishing company, J Ram Music, and resides in Los Angeles.
BRYAN CALHOUN graduated from the Terry School of Business at the University of Georgia where he obtained a B.B.A. in Finance. He was introduced to the business while serving as a disk jockey for the university's radio station, WUOG, and as a member of the school's student event programming team. He later founded a concert production company (producing Hip Hop shows in the early 90s with Cypress Hill, Tupac, Digable Planets, etc.) and moved into street promotions, retail marketing and was also hired as an A&R representative for Relativity Records. In 2003, Mr. Calhoun drew on his experiences and opened Label Management Systems, LLC to assist small and upstart labels succeed. The company’s client list includes: MSN Entertainment, G.O.O.D. Music (Kanye West’s label), Disturbing tha Peace (Ludacris’ label), Three Keys Music, Monster Cable and others. He developed tools for indie labels and offers consulting services to companies.
In August 2006, Kanye West and his management team called upon Mr. Calhoun to head up the operations of his Getting Out Our Dreams label, which boasts an artist roster of successful artist, such as John Legend, Common and Consequence. Although already a consultant to the label, his significantly increased responsibilities included making day-to-day business decisions for the label and management of the label’s relationship with its parent company, Sony. He held this position until April 2007 when G.O.O.D. and Sony mutually decided to refrain from developing new acts together. His relationship continued with West, however, and he is now responsible for developing the star’s online presence and new media strategies, including the launch of his new fan community.
Mr. Calhoun is frequent lecturer and panelist at many music industry conferences. He is also on the board of advisors for the Future of Music Coalition.
DR. WILLIAM ASHBOURNE is a native of New York, NY. He received a B.B.A. in Accounting in 1980 from Howard University and later received a J.D. in Law in 1984 from Brooklyn Law School. In addition to his collegiate education, Ashbourne has professional experience at such universities as: Georgia State University, Morris Brown College, Clark Atlanta University and more recently, Alabama State University, where he serves as a Professor of Law and Music Business.Along with balancing the plethora of responsibilities of a professor, Ashbourne is also challenged with maintaining his success as an entertainment attorney. While in NY, Ashbourne was an original member of the Juice Crew with artists, such as Roxanne Shante, Biz Markie, Big Daddy Kane and others. He has also represented labels and management of R. Kelly, LL Cool J, Kool G. Rap and many more. After his relocation to Atlanta in 1993, he represented Tag Team, the artist behind the hit single, “Whoomp there it is” and more recently, Ludacris and Fabo.
Along with preparing the students at Alabama State University, Ashbourne currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Atlantis Music Conference, where he was a mentor and professor for concert and festival manager, Kathy Gates. Ashbourne has also been a featured lecturer for many major industry conventions and writers’ associations across the country, such as ASCAP, BRE Southeast Music Conference and the Bermuda Songwriters Association.
AUDIO TECHNOLOGY FACULTY
DR. RICHARD REPP holds a Ph.D. in Technology-Based Music Instruction from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Music in Performance (Voice), with an emphasis in Arts Technology from Illinois State University, a BS in Music from Illinois State University, and he completed the Recording Engineering and Music Production Program from the Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, OH.He has published articles on educational technology for music in several leading journals and presented at international conferences. He is active in the Association for Technology in Music Instruction (ATMI), and the Technology Institute for Music Educators (TI-ME). As a singer, he has performed with the Toledo Opera and the Illinois Opera Theater.
DAN YURKOFSKY is a composer and teacher who lives in New York City. He earned his M.M. in Music Technology from New York University, where he studied with several notables of computer music, including Richard Boulanger, Robert Rowe and Luke Dubois. Additional studies have included harmony, arranging, and private voice lessons at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, music theory at the Juilliard School in New York City, and digital audio production at Touro College--also in New York. He earned his B.A. in English from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Mr. Yurkofsky has been the main songwriter/composer for two ensembles: “Living in Trees”, 1989-1992 (Boston, MA) and “The Dan Yurkofsky Band”, 1994 – 1998 (Santa Fe, NM). He has contributed sound design to television productions, music to independent films, and was a recipient of a composer’s grant from the Ucross Foundation of Wyoming. He currently teaches music production at an award winning, after-school program in Manhattan and continues to write, record, and promote his acoustic and electronic music.
EVREN CELIMLI received his Master of Arts in Music Composition from Sussex University in Brighton, England and his Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. He has been composing music for film, commercials, modern dance, ballet and theater for the past 15 years. His music has been heard in new music festivals and concert halls in the US and Europe. His most recent film score was for the documentary film "Beyond Belief" which premiered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival and won the Best of Fest Award at the 2007 Woods Hole Film Festival.
DR. ROBERT WILLEY received a Bachelors degree from North Texas State University, and a Masters degree in computer music and Ph.D. in theoretical studies from the University of California, San Diego, where he concentrated on electronic music and interactive performance systems. He worked for a computer music exchange program between UCSD, Stanford University, and a studio in Buenos Aires, funded by the Rockefeller Foundation, and then received a Fulbright scholarship to teach computer music composition and performance in Brazil at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Belo, Horizonte. He stayed on as a visiting professor for two years at the Carlos Gomes Conservatory in Belém, PA. He is a versatile keyboard player and composer in a number of styles. His research interests include: the music of Tom Jobim and Conlon Nancarrow, distance education, video direction, multimedia and DVD production, surround sound, and producing recordings of music from South Louisiana. He is currently writing a book on Brazilian Piano for Hal Leonard.
STU KUBY is a songwriter, producer and teacher. He has over thirty years of experience in the music industry as a published songwriter, a charted record and commercial producer and has been an A and R man for record labels, a professional manager in music publishing and the music director of one of the world’s largest advertising agencies. As a songwriter and producer he has been responsible for the creation and production of music for a variety of clients and artists, such as Paula Abdul, Whitney Houston, Luther Van Dross, Kenny Loggins, Coca Cola, Diet Coke, Cherry Coke, Life Savers, Toyota, The Spinners, Bill Monroe, Ricky Skaags, Alabama, Roberta Flack, Mastercard, IBM, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Cover Girl, Linda Ronstadt, Marc Cohn, Aaron Neville, Michael Bolton, Aretha Franklin, Michael MacDonald, Gladys Knight, Ella Fitzgereald, Elton John, Paul McCartney and many others. He enjoys life in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York and teaches a course on the Music Industry at the Adirondack Community College.
BARAK SHPIEZ gathered years of experience in recording studios and performance spaces in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, even before graduating from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA with a degree in Music Production and Engineering. Having spent over three years as a live sound engineer, as well as freelance recording engineer, Barak returned to his studies and is currently completing a Master's Degree in Music Technology at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Barak also runs a production studio Spearhead Audio that specializes in audio mastering and composition for advertising and visual media.
AARON TRUMM is a recording artist, singer, performance poet, producer and label/production company owner. He has a Bachelor's degree from the University of New Mexico in History and a Master's degree from Stanford University in Music, Science and Technology. He created NQuit Records and has owned it for 12 years, created the techno/classical/poetry fusion act Third Option, which has released 8 recordings and had international attention from the likes of Annie Nightingale of BBC Radio I, and has released 3 solo CDs.Aaron has been published in numerous poetry anthologies and magazines, Linux Journal, Cubase Newsletter, has appeared on various anthology recordings, was the first Houston City Poetry Slam Champion, captain of the 8th ranked 2002 Houston Poetry Slam Team, and the 10th ranked individual slam poet in the nation in 2002. He has worked in almost every conceivable capacity in the entertainment industry, including: stage hand, performer, producer, audio engineer, documentary film crew, web design, marketing and programming. He currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
JEFF KANAN is a Native of Denver, Colorado and always found himself in the heart of Music. While playing in numerous bands throughout school and through his life, he was always plagued by the fact that “It should just sound better”. So Jeff went on to study engineering and music business at the University of Colorado. In his thirst to see just how deep his talent went, he made the move to California to work at the Legendary Westlake Recording Studios. Over the years, Jeff has worked on giant projects for artists, such as Madonna, No Doubt, Kelly Clarkson, Sting and Shelia E. He has also worked hand in hand with legendary producers like Tim Palmer (U2, Pearl Jam, Tears for Fears), Don Was (Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt), Randy Jackson (Mariah Carey, American Idol) and Josh Abraham (Staind, Orgy, Velvet Revolver). Jeff’s time at Westlake was spent learning from the best in the business. He now has his own studio and works freelance making records in Los Angeles, California.
DR. DAVID BRIAN WILLIAMS's distinguished career has included teaching and administrative appointments at: Illinois State University, SWRL Educational Research Laboratory, the University of Washington, and the University of Guam. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music Theory degree from Northwestern Louisiana State University and a PhD in Systematic Musicology from the University of Washington. His technology work broadly covers multimedia and Internet applications, music and arts technology education, the development of software applications for music education, and the management of information and instructional technology resources. Dr. Williams has served as a consultant to many organizations in education and business combining his music, technology, research, and administrative experience. He has written extensively in the areas of music education, music psychology, music and arts technology, and instructional development. His most recent book, which he co-authors with Peter Webster, is entitled Experiencing Music Technology (Thomson/Schirmer, 3rd edition). He has served on boards for the National Association for Music Education, College Music Society, Illinois Music Educators Association, the Association for Technology in Music Instruction, and Technology Institute for Music Education (TI:ME). He chaired the MENC task force for developing Opportunity-to-Learn Standards for Music Technology and, in 2001, received the Illinois Music Educators Association Distinguished Service Award for his work in music technology.
He has been a much-invited speaker, clinician, and consultant to many professional meetings, universities, public schools, business organizations, and professionals in business, education, and music. He is currently Professor Emeritus of Music and Arts Technology, Illinois State University. He is also the Co-author of Experiencing Music Technology textbook (3rd Ed.).

DR. ROBERT SCOTT THOMPSON is a composer of electroacoustic and computer music, as well as music for chamber ensemble and orchestra. A student of Roger Reynolds, Bernard Rands, F. Richard Moore and Joji Yuasa, he earned a Ph.D. in composition in 1990 from the University of California at San Diego, where he was a research assistant at the Center for Music Experiment (CME) and Computer Audio Research Laboratory (CARL) from 1984 to 1989. In 1991 he was a Fulbright Research Scholar, working at the Danish Institute of lectroacoustic Music (DIEM), where he created the 70' computer work “The strong Eye.” He has received several international prizes and distinctions for his works in competitions, such as the 1995 Irino Prize in Chamber Music(Japan), the Fondazione "Luigi Russolo" tape music prize (Italy) and Bourges Electroacoustic Music (France), among others. Thompson is published on over a dozen recordings by Aucourant, Oasis/Mirage, Hypnos, Neuma, Drimala and Capstone and is widely presented in broadcast. Live performances of his music have been featured at various international festivals, such as the International Clarinet Festival, Virginia Waterfront International Arts Festival, International Computer Music Conference, Présences, SEAMUS, Florida Electroacoustic Music Festival, Time of Music Festival, Bartók Festival, Santa Fe Festival, Cabrillo Festival, Seoul Computer Music Festival, Koriyama Techno Music Biennale, Electronic Music Plus, Helsinki Bienalle, Spring in Havana and Synthèse, among others.
VINCE CASAS is an accomplished Pro Tools Studio Engineer and Producer in Las Vegas, Nevada. Over the course of the last three years, he has served as Chief Engineer and Producer for two premier Las Vegas studios and produced hundreds of quality projects. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commercial Music/Studio Production from Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois, where he received top honors for his work in studio engineering and production. During his undergrad work he completed extensive studies of classical and pop vocal techniques, as well as techniques for guitar and piano, and modern songwriting. Currently, Vince is completing an MBA program with the University of Phoenix while developing his own Music Artist Management LLC for aspiring rock musicians.
SCOTT JARRETT With over 35 years of experience as an engineer, producer, and musician, and 15 years developing course materials and instructing recording and production techniques, Scott Jarrett brings a seasoned, broad vision to the recording and production programs.
Scott co-designed and operated 39th Street Music in New York City, a studio who's impressive client list included The Ramones and Cindy Lauper, to name a few. Scott has worked with artists as diverse as jazz great Dave Grusin (GRP) and country music's Willie Nelson. He was the music director of the Broadway hit "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" for the final year and a half of it's run on Broadway. He worked on the production of music for many national jingles including Buick, Sprite, and Lowenbrau beer. Scott has also toured extensively as a guitar player with Connie Stevens and many others.
Scott also taught recording techniques at Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts for three years. He has been the Recording Department Head and the Recording Course Coordinator at McNally Smith College of Music for the past 9 years.
